Ten years later, Kenobi left exile to rescue Leia Organa, Luke's twin sister, and was pursued by the Empire's Inquisitorius and Vader himself. Adopting a hermit lifestyle as " Ben Kenobi," he watched over Vader's and Senator Padmé Amidala's son, Luke. After discovering that Skywalker had turned to the dark side of the Force, becoming Sidious' Sith apprentice under the name of Darth Vader, Kenobi defeated his former Padawan on Mustafar and exiled himself to the Outer Rim planet Tatooine as the Galactic Empire rose to power. He later survived the initial onslaught of the Great Jedi Purge against the Jedi Order, which resulted from the machinations of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. In 19 BBY, Kenobi killed the Separatist Supreme Commander, General Grievous during the Battle of Utapau, effectively ending the Clone Wars. Though they clashed in heated duels on multiple occasions, Maul failed to end Kenobi's life or cripple his spirit, despite murdering his former love, Satine Kryze, Duchess of Mandalore. In the midst of the war, his old enemy Maul re-emerged into galactic affairs, bent on revenge against Kenobi for his debilitating defeat decades prior. Clone Marshal Commander CC-2224 "Cody" served as his second-in-command throughout the galaxy-wide conflict, with their forces achieving multiple victories over the Confederacy of Independent Systems. With the advent of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY, Kenobi adopted the military rank of High Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic, and was given command of the Open Circle Fleet, the Third Systems Army, and the 7th Sky Corps. He also chose to train Anakin Skywalker-the prophesied Chosen One who was destined to destroy the Sith and restore balance to the Force-having promised Jinn who died in the lightsaber duel against Maul. In 32 BBY, Kenobi attained the rank of Jedi Knight by defeating the Sith Lord Darth Maul during the Invasion of Naboo. Raised in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant, Kenobi was assigned to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. He was Force-sensitive, and therefore taken from his family and inducted into the Jedi Order as a child. Kenobi was born on the planet Stewjon in 57 BBY. As a mentor, Kenobi was responsible for training two members of the Skywalker family, Anakin and Luke Skywalker, both of whom served in turn as his Padawan in the ways of the Force. Kenobi, however, was forced into exile as a result of the Great Jedi Purge.

As a Jedi General, Kenobi served in the Grand Army of the Republic that fought against the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars. Obi-Wan Kenobi was a legendary Force-sensitive human male Jedi Master who served on the Jedi High Council during the final years of the Republic Era. " And those who oppose it are more powerful than you'll ever be." ―Obi-Wan Kenobi and Maul It takes strength to resist the dark side. Be aware of BOLD MOVE and consider spreading your team apart." You can kill me, but you will never destroy me. Obi-Wan isn’t a dangerous melee attacker so you can run by him to swat Anakin or their allies, who will be your likely first targets in the game, but don’t get caught having to face both of them. Playing against Obi & Ani: Focusing on Anakin is your best bet. This deck has no real weaknesses but like any team deck, you have to keep both characters alive long enough to get something out of each of them, and Anakin makes it hard when his power combat cards result in him taking damage. With a decent draw, they both have a balanced game and Obi-Wan has a potential game-changer in BOLD MOVE. Anakin is one of the game’s best minors and Obi-Wan, even with only 7 talent cards, is no slouch as a major. Playing Obi & Ani: A very strong deck with 2 dangerous sluggos. Inspiration: It’s called Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, opening sequence Strategy: Anakin unloads early, Obi-Wan finishes up Weaknesses: Anakin can get himself killed quickly and if he goes down before doing significant damage, Obi-Wan struggles to do enough damage on his own Strengths: High staying power, high attack power, solid movement and direct damage, 2 strong characters Path to Victory: Wears you down with big attacks, CONTROL YOUR ANGER + DO WHAT I MUST Theme: 2 individually strong Jedi that form a strong team No one may attack Obi-Wan until his next turn. Move Obi-Wan and Anakin up to 6 spaces each. What does this deck do: A tank major who damages crowds along with a damage-dealing minor.Ī6, if Anakin is adjacent, he recovers 2 damage.ĭ12, attacker chooses and discards a card. It took us a little while longer to come out with this one but this is one of our favorite ones to play since it involves 2 of our favorite characters.
